Pride an Joy Kennels is owned and operated by Dean and Peggy Jolly. We live on a farm where we raise crops, swine, and dogs. We have been breeding dogs since 1995. Our focus in breeding is to produce healthy puppies that have good personalities. Most of our puppies go to homes where they are there just to be loved. A few go to show and breeding homes. I offer a limited registration for those who just want a puppy to love. This type of registration does not allow you to register any puppies that may be born later. A full AKC registration allows puppies to be registered as long as both the sire and dam are fully AKC registered. The reason I offer a discount on a limited registration is two fold. First, it allows those who want a puppy for companionship the ability to purchase one without breaking the bank account. The second reason is to prevent backyard breeding. Backyard breeding is when dogs are bred by people with little knowledge of the dogs or of what is involved in having a litter of puppies.
I do not show my dogs. My work schedule and children do not allow me time to show. Since I don't spend the time and money showing, I am able to offer my puppies at a lower cost than many breeders. Some of my dogs have champion bloodlines but some don't. I generally look at the actual dog rather than a pedigree when choosing a stud. Most of my breeding females are girls I have kept from previous litters.

My puppies are chosen by the buyer in the order that deposits are made. Deposits are 50.00 and are nonrefundable unless there is not a healthy puppy available.
